Adams is a proud native of Denver, Colorado. He graduated from Montbello High School in 2004 and went on to study at the University of Colorado Boulder, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Broadcast Production & Journalism and Ethnic Studies. 

Adams has a passion for sports, particularly in historically detailing the lives of past great African-American baseball players in the Mile High City.

He embarked on a journalism career by working at Denver7 in 2010 as a Digital Content Producer, video editor, and photojournalist.
